Joel holds a Master's degree in mechanical engineering and robotics from ETH Zurich. In 2018, he co-founded VAY, an ETH spin-off that pioneered monocular human motion analysis and gained remarkable recognition in the fitness and health industry. VAY's success led to its acquisition by Nautilus Inc. in 2021, and Forbes recognized Joel's achievements by naming him one of the best young talents in Europe in its "30 under 30" tech companies list for 2022. He currently manages Nautilus Inc.'s Center of Excellence in Zurich and leads digital product management globally. Joel’s passion for startups is still burning strong: he leverages his experience as an angel investor and is involved in various initiatives to advance Switzerland’s ecosystem.
